something to note on these.. the instructions and description indicate they do not fit the chopped or razor TPs

The lock cover fits any size TP...but, the latches only full size.

Correct.. last I checked the lock cover is backordered.  The premium latches can be made to fit with a little work.

Saw the lock cover this week on an FLT Ultra and it looked and worked nice. I wish they made a cover like this for the FLT ignition switch. :nixweiss:

i've got the black lock cover on my denim black tourpak.  i like it.  it 'hides' the chrome lock that stood out like a sore thumb before.

I picked up the blacked out hinges and latches yesterday, the lock cover is on back order as my dealer states MOCO has not released it yet. Not sure how you got one unless my dealer is confused. I am expecting it on 1/4/13. I have the '11 SERGU, with the black/slate paint. Blacked out parts should mix nicely with the paint scheme.

The lock covers came out for a month or two, then went on back order.  Been waiting on one since thanksgiving. Wish i would have picked up the one i saw on the shelf when i saw it at another dealer other than mine.

your dealer is very confused.  i got two of them, one in black for my bike, and chrome for the wife's back in oct before we took our 'semi annual get away from work' roadtrip.  i guess i'm glad, i didn't realize they would be such hot sellers and in such short supply.

I called a local dealer and read them the PN. They said they had one black in stock. I asked the parts guy to hold it for me. When I got there all he could fiund is the chrome ones. After searching the shelves for 15 minutes, I was about to give up when the other parts guy said "oh, the black one is on the under $50 gift shelf". there she was and now i have it. All because I couldn't wait two weeks for my dealer to get it in stock.  8)

FYI:
Anyone looking to replace the latches, the top catches need an HD rivet gun (hd-39787a) to install the new rivets included with the kit. The gun is $358 form HD!

I tried to find a rivet gun at Northern tools and NAPA auto parts, they both only carry pop rivet guns, there is a rod on a pop rivet that the gun pulls through the sleeve enlarging the rivet to hold something in place. The rivets included in the kit appear to need to be "mushroomed" and no rod is in the rivet. In my experience working with aluminum gutters and soffits, the pop rivets are not that strong and do not pull the two pieces together.

I give up, so I guess I have to ride the bike to the dealer with a bungee cord holding the lid in place to have them install the 4 rivets in the top catches.

Geeze, you think somewhere on the HD packaging they might alert those who wish to install these catches themselves. Any one have any other ideas I may have overlooked?

I ordered the latches and the hinges from my dealer.  I opened a set of black to check for rivets and there were none all torx bolts.. I even asked my parts guy to verify and he stated there are none. We will see after they are installed..
