Decel Table in the TTS
« on: December 23, 2012, 08:28:17 AM »

Hi all....
For years I recommended to turn off the Decel and Acell tables as you end users did your V-Tunes......well I was wrong.....evidence has been found that this can have negitive effects on your tune so DO NOT turn off the Decel and Acel tables.
Sorry

Yes I could but if I did it I'd have to kill you....lol. Seriously, turning off the table can effect V-Tuning, thats all I can say at this time.

What I have told people forever was to leave them alone and that WE had not done any testing with them turned off.

After everyone was doing it anyways I did some quick testing on turning the AE only off and I did not see any issues with that, but I've never done testing with Warm up or DE fuel turned off. We have now been tracking some things and were able to trace it straight to turning these items off. While these issues do not happen 100% of the time the fact that they do happen is good enough for us to recommend that it NOT be done. The issues vary from software level to software level and are not the same across the board.

If your bike runs fine don't worry about anything or having to retune your bike. What was found does not effect the maps 100% of the time. I have tuned at least 25 to 30 trikes with the devil and accent tables turned off....these trikes do not need retuned and they all run fine. Since a problem CAN happen with this method of tuning TTS and myself are asking you all not to tune this way anymore.
Explaining this problem in detail, publicly, will essentially give information to the competitors of TTS.
