We lost a moderator. Sad. I know. Not like he croaked or anything gross. He just stopped moderating. He went moderater-down and became a civilian again.
There was a thread where his good-byes and good wishes started to happen. But it didn't work. So for all those threads he cherished and nurtured on our behalf, all those times he helped us out, for all the girls he loved be... oops, almost had a Willie Nelson moment; never mind.
Anyway, Buddy won't be a mod anymore. Hell, he may not even stay on the site. It sucks but it might true. So the man deserves a send off. Many of us he's helped us out. The guy rode half way to New Mexico to meet Charlie once, guide him in to his place and followed that with room and board and food and drink. He's ridden out to meet or help others too. Maybe we don't need a mod like that. But we sure as hell need friends like that.
So, my friend, see ya soon. A meal and a ride in the spring. Though this time it's on me! If I'm ever riding across Oklahoma being chased by a horde of tri-mammary-virgin Zombies (and don't decide to just stop and let them have their way with me) I'm headed your way because I know there'd be a helping hand coming my way to help out.
