A crotchety old man on a Tour Glide I was buying beers for one cold night up in Utah told me there were two things you can't get enough of.  One of them was chrome, both things cost way too much, but chrome he never paid for by the hour  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  :-?    ?

Simple test to see if there is TOO MUCH CHROME on your bike....

1.  Pull bike into garage has to be concrete floor...
2.  Put kickstand down.
3.  Lean bike on stand.
4.  Get off bike and look at stand where it touches the floor.
5.  If the concrete is busted you HAVE TOO MUCH CHROME.....

CA aka Chrome Anonymous:

The 12 steps of Chrome recovery:

1. We admitted we were powerless over Chrome, and that our visa cards have become unmanagable.

2. Came to believe that not buying anymore chrome, could restore us to sanity.

3. Made a decision to turn our will and our Visa cards over to the care of our wives or girlfriends as we understood them.

4. Made a searching and fearless inventory of our excess chrome.

5. Admitted to God, . to ourselves, and to another CVO owner, the exact nature of our OCD.

6. Were entirely ready to have a garage sale of all un-needed chrome.

7. Humbly asked MoCo to remove our shortcomings.

8. Made a list of persons that we harmed, and became willing to make amends to make amends to them all, by not purchasing any more chrome.

9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so, would injure them or scratch their chrome.

10. Continued to take others inventory of chrome, and when they were wrong, promptly pointed it out to them.

11. Sought thru riding and sex, to improve our conscious contact with chrome, as we understood chrome, praying only for more torque, and the horse-power to carry that out.

12. Having had a OCD awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to other CVO owners, and to practice these principles in all of our affairs.

Sadly so, most of us are too deep in denial for these steps to mean squat.

I will probably catch a lot of flack for this, especially with all of the OCD members on this site, but I think that too much chrome can take away from the looks of a bike. .....................................................................am I the only sane non -OCD person on this site?
