HD speaker lids
« on: January 03, 2013, 05:00:03 PM »

Now that I have the bike in the garage, I listened to the boom audio. It is really not to bad, but who knows on the road? The 13`s come with the speakers in the rear bag lids, and I am wondering if anyone has any real time experience with them? Are they worth it, or does the sound become a mute point once your moving? Would appreciate any input, as the color matched lids are 299 each not including the speaker kit at 999.

Read some of the threads about upgrades. Not sure if I can hear them while moving but when I stop its awesome.

Boom stuff sucks though. Just my .02c

Are they worth it? That is only something you can answer. At slow(er) speeds you can hear them. I have my fade adjusted a click or two toward the rear to try and balance the sound a little. Would I add them had my bike not come with them? Probably not. Would I take them off now that I own them? No. I am eager to hear Rich's setup with the upgraded amps and speakers. Having better quality sound may sway me some toward becoming a fan of the rear speakers.

That is a legitimate question. I have no clue what this stuff is made of and with that said I haven't seen any water in my bags YET!
