95 CI FACTORY CAMS
« on: September 07, 2006, 05:52:18 PM »

I've got a 2001 SERG with around 15,000 miles that I took into my local dealer this morning to be serviced and while I was there I ask about having the cam chain tensioner shoes checked. I ask the service writer about going to gear driven cams and he quoted approximately $1,000.00 for parts and labor, when I ask what cams came in the 01 SE 95ci he was evasive and I never was able to get a stright answer. So I'm trying to find out what cams came in the 01 95s and if I were to have gear driven cams installed what cams should I go with. Other than SE air cleaner and SE mufflers my bike is stock, my main objective in going to the gear driven cams would be mainly for reliability however as long as I'm spending the money I might as well increase performance as long as it increases the reliability.
Thanks

I know Zippers has a 95ci Muscle Kit that includes cams among other things. If it were me I'd contact Zippers let them know configuration of your scooter, that you looking for cams only, and then tell them what you want HP or TQ and when (RPM) you want it.

You have SE 203 cams in your bike.

HDBIGMAN the 203 cams are a good torque and touring cams works good through the mountains just not much on the big end.
