I had the boot guy do this to an older set of boots, less than $90 took 2 days. He only added 3/8" to soles, 1/2" to heels, then on the inside he added new heel lift to the inner sole and new soles that added 1/2" at heels and reducing to 1/4" at toes.
When added to the existing sole the final total put me at nearly 5'11" and a full 32" inseam when jeans are measured down to just above the heel in the back, It was as good or better than the seat addition(subtraction, really). But together they are awesome! Try the oldest of the three... U will find yourself useing them all the time. I thought I might trip over myself with these, but dont really notice them as ANY issue with that...

I'm 5'6 and I traded a 2010 Ltd for 2013 CVO Ultra.  I went with Race Tech gold kit in the front and Progressive 444's in the rear, with Mustang Lowdown seat and I'm flat footed.  Shocks are stock length 13".  After 55K on the Ltd my seat was well tuned so I removed my seat before trade in.

One other seat that may help, although not heated, is the Sundowner. I had it on my 08, but haven't tried it yet on my 2012 Ultra CVO yet. It sells for $299 also and is comfortable. I done a 1000 and a 1500 iron butt rides on it with no extra cushion. I had tried the Reach seat before, but wound up with cramps in my legs.

I have a reduced reach myself, my BSR loves it but I find I get cramped surprisingly and I get but burn on short trips. I have a friend with a sundowner I plan on borrowing it in the spring and going for a long ride with it and if I like it I am going to buy one for 2up trips.

How badly are you compromising the ride and performance when lowering the front end (e.g. Progressive monotubes 1" lower cartridges)?

I don't know about others, but in my case, lowering my bike in the front via shorter internals in the forks, (Progressive Cartridges are going to be my method), will take it back close to stock. I have gone from an 18" front wheel to a 21"which raised it nearly an 1 1/2"...
So I hope I am UNcompromising it!     ;)

I put the HD Super Reach seat on today, and it makes a huge difference. My feet are flat on the ground, and the lower seating position feels similar to how my old softtails felt. The new seat is not as comfortable as the Hammok Heated seat, but at least I can ride it now, and do a little tinkering.  I may still get the air suspension, but at least I know I'm ready when the nicer weather rolls in.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Does that seat put your "goods" on the gas tank?

JSwerve,
Not so much that I noticed. The seating position is a further forward, but the tapered front end of the seat and the low saddle tilts you back just a bit, which naturally moves your junk back and up. I'll get a picture of it, next time I uncover it.

Because of my short inseam I had my stock seat contoured to get my feet down closer to the ground.I have an 09SEUC with stock suspension. I took my bike to the local custom bike upholstery shop.

Me too - cost me around $150 for the work on the stock seat.

Also I bought a pair of heel lifters that go inside my boots off ebay for a few bucks.  I tried lowering the rear with the Profile Low Suspension kit, but it didn't make a huge difference and it bottomed out if you ran over a matchstick, so I put the stock shox back on.

I use my stock seat for short rides and riding around town. I just bought a 2010 Ultra classic limited seat off of a forum member for when I ride 2 up with the tour pak. This thing is HUGE like sitting on a damn recliner lol. Looking forward to taking a trip with it.

LOL. In this weather there's no way my junk is going uncovered. I bought the bike to compensate for the shrinkage. :2vrolijk_21:
