In order to access the goose neck bolts, the ignition switch and cover need to be removed as well as the outer fairing and radio. Then you can access all 4 bolts. Hope this helps.

It's not an easy process.  If I was going to do it, I would go ahead and replace the bars and I'm positive that you will be glad that you did.

On a batwing bike:

Remove Outer Fairing
Loosen Inner Faring and move forward a few inches
Remove Switch (I made a little tool to reach in and unlock your forks so they can swing back straight)
Remove Switch Panel
Loosen Hex Bolts
Adjust Bars
Tighten
Sometimes it's a two man job to get the inner fairing put back in the right position.
Replace everything that was removed.

You can remove the radio if you aren't comfortable tilting the fairing back or don't have someone to help you with it and access the back bolts as well.

I just noticed that you have a Roadglide.  Yours, I believe is much easier.  Disregard my earlier post, it was for batwing bikes.

The picture is a Road Glide, but his question is about an FLHTCUSE7 according to the title of the thread. :confused5:

What bike are you asking about cyril, an Electra Glide or a Road Glide?  The RG should be relatively simple, whereas the EG requires a lot more work as CowboyBagger mentioned.  Not difficult, just time consuming.

Just keep in mind that your range of adjustment is limited to the openings on inner fairing, which means very little. Before you go to the trouble see if the bars are closer to front or rear of cutouts/and grommets that restrict total movement. If you are lucky you might be able to gain a little room.

Yeah it will be tough to gain much at all without replacing the stockers

I gauge the height by..... turn bars to full lock slide a fist under the end of the bars & the fuel tank you should get a fist underneath & some
currently i cant do that .
After the adjustment it will be possible .
