cargo trailer siding
« on: January 13, 2013, 10:58:09 AM »

I am looking for the 8 tip bit to remove the siding from a cargo trailer

I know that a #2 square drive will work but some of the screws are not being cooperative

Fastenal should have what you need.  Closest to you is Elizabeth City.  They will have the fasteners as well.

Assuming you are talking about square bits, Home Depot should have em'..    they sell various  square bit wood/machine screws, when you purchase large qty. the bits come packaged ..

90% of them came out with the #2 square bit......it is the other 10% that will not cooperate with the #2 square bit and no matter how you look at it....if you can not remove all 100% of them you are just pissing in the wind :soapbox:

cut a groove with a dremel or like.
Or carefully with a hacksaw blade.

Same here. I ended up trying another bit #2 and it worked fine. Both look OK but one wouldn't fit as tight. China would be my bet there! I have a good one here if you are by this way you are welcomed to it. I think I have to go that way next week if you want Ill drop it by?

Yo - Hoogy - hop in your golf cart, give Jade a ride and scoot over to the home depot down the street and pick up a pack of Milwaukee Shockdrive #2 square drives.
