            WOW  really thats the "black" in the pic how it takes the light sure don't look black
            that's impressive. "like it a lot" I haven't looked yet but If I can find it here in the UK I'll go for it.
            Had our first snow to day it will give me a little project to do .

Do you need any special chemicals to apply the film? I did some clear 3M film (soapy water and alcohol), so I have the squeegees.....just wondering if I need anything else.

No special chemicals needed. Just clean the surface and prep just like when applying the 3M clear.

Not much riding being done at the moment, but we'll find out how it holds up to the heat soon enough. It is rated as an exterior wrap that can stand up to the elements and I think the shield itself will allow enough air circulation around it that it won't be an issue. I did use a hair dyer during the install and the material seemed able to withstand quite a bit of heat, I got it hot enough that I couldn't hold onto it anymore just to see what would happen with no ill effects -- but time will tell

So the material must have a sticky back so it adheres to the shields, or does it require some kind of glue?

Self adhesive. just pull off the paper backing as you apply the material.
