Thanks!  I had the 2002 Honda VTX 1800 Retro, in orange, of course. :D.  I was the only owner, bought brand new in 2001.  It was a "tank" compared to my CVO.  Funny since they both weighed almost the same but the VTX felt heavier especially in turns. 

So far I just got a new custom Corbin seat which I posted up in another thread. I'm looking at doing the suspension and possibly handlebars, trying to get the "perfect" riding position.  :). Even with the new seat, I may need new handlebars with about an inch pullback.  I haven't been able to ride long enough to decide.  Lol.

But even being a CVO, still appears there are so many possibilities for customization. :)

It was the International Motorcycle Show in 2011 that we bought the XE eXtreme Element gear.  The Nor Cal CVO group was there.  We went in as a group but you know how long that lasted, especially with Gerbing being just inside the door.  I spent quite awhile talking to Jeff Gerbing that day and we have communicated via email several times since.  However, shortly after he brought the production back from China (in 2011) and got it all back here in the states a lot has changed.  He sold the company a few months ago and is no longer the owner.
