...One piece of advice. A Harley-Davidson dealership is like a clubhouse to the folks who do business there. They don't see it as just a business. It's a lifestlye to them. Remember that your customers are looking at things from that point of view and your new dealership will be the best around.

One of the soundest pieces of advice I have ever heard. That is why I go to the HD shop, and unfortunately I am constantly underwhelmed at SOME of the staff and management's apparent perspective of gross sales and profit margins. Harley people are not just about buying bikes and t-shirts, and a HD shop should never be a PepBoys, Advance or AutoZone. Many of us really hold to what the Harley LEGEND is/was all about. It's a committed lifestyle.

Agree with SPIDERMAN, hold to that maxim and you will have one of the best shops in all

Bigdog, [smiley=nixweiss.gif] WHAT Canada you talking about?
Rode up there a couple years ago... we had so much crap we coulda used a trailer. Like they don't have stores anywhere. :-/

Of course, I took 3 travel humidors filled with my essentials. So I shouldn't talk.  :-[  ;D

The Nelson get together of course. Sorry to hear about your bike. It really sucks when it just won't run right.

I have met so many good people here in the Paducah area ...just a very friendly town ...

Yep.  I had the pleasure of just passing through Paducah about five years ago and thought the same thing.  Pretty and nice town with nice people and pretty countryside as well.  Wifey's from Kentucky (although across the state) and she likes it, too.

We both love and miss NC but western KY is a really nice area as well.  Best of luck to you, there.

Stopped in the 4 Rivers(Sill's) clothing store last Sunday with the group, wife and I were riding with. Overcast, cold day, and many articles of clothing were sold. Managed to say Hi to Bubba, as he was swiftly bagging up the merchandise.  :)

I ran into a group of riders from Paducah today at Lamberts (home of the throw'd rolls) on I-55 @ Sikeston, MO. A group of us from Memphis took a ride there and I saw a 05 SEEG (teal) in the parking lot. I was putting one of our website cards on the bike when one of their group walked up, he said they were from Paducah. Are any of you in the Paducah area familiar with a teal 05 SEEG from there. Looking at the bike, he really needs to get involved here because he needs to get infected with our OCD.
