If I was stateside my daily driver would probably be my 2006 GTO. But since I wouldn't drive it in the snow...and snow is the other season, I'm looking into this new diesel Jeep Grand Cherokee just now being released at the autoshow. Big bucks so who knows. Doubtful the new to me (picked it up this month while home on vacation) 68 Chebbie C3500 would be a good dd. Too many cars already and 4 bikes so I need to reduce the herd a bit. Can't imagine not having a bike to ride. I've had a bike since 1968 in one form or another... would feel naked without one.

Nice old truck, would make me a great hay wagon (did I mention, "Horses Suck")

I have an 08 Corvette which I purchased new.  It has 15K miles on it over the past 4 years.  I put over 20K on my Harley each year.  No comparison between a car and a bike.  Although cars can be fun, I don't get the same thrill factor from them.  My next car will be a truck with no frills.  I'd rather hold on to my money.

I love to build vehicles; cars, bikes, or trucks. I have a '67 Karmann Ghia slammed and full of power that is a ball to cruise, not too many people even know what it is, it hasn't moved in three years. I have a drag car that takes too much time to enjoy and do it rightously. I am currently into a four year body off frame restomod '76 Bronco, only work on during the winter non riding months and it is almost complete. I have built many bikes and got to the point from riding everywhere possible to loosing some interst in my custom bike. I then bought a bagger so I could take the wife comfortably and my stuff with me to work. I sold both the bagger and the custom chopper for a CVO Ultra and even though I miss the custom I ride everwhere again. I am still looking at other vehicles to solve my building cravings, but a car or truck will never replace the bike. I have tried Porsches, Jaguars, Lincolns, worked for a Dealership and drove new exotics, but nothing makes me smile or gives me the rush a fast bike does.

Have owned hot rod cars and bikes most of my adult life. Now have 2 CVOs ('12 Road Glide, '09 Springer), a '12 Corvette Grand Sport Conv. and a '06 M-3 Conv. Love them all and thank God that I can keep them all. Many days it's hard to decide which one to take. Bad weather/road driver is a BMW X1, the only one I have that I can't get in the wind with! (wife took my 4X4 truck and let's me have it back during hunting season). If I have to thin the herd I'll keep the Road Glide and the Vette. If I can't have both, well maybe that's means it's time to cross over. >:( :nixweiss:

Bikes are much more fun, there is nothing like a great day of riding with a bunch of friends. The car you are usually alone .I haved had both at the same time and I find that I usually pick the bike over the cars

I'm a gear head and enjoy my cages and scooters equally well. Reality dictates that sometimes the scooter isn't going to accomplish the task. I loved my Cobra and SSR, but both were convertibles, so I was still able to get my hair in the wind. I would be happy if I could ride everyday, but reality sucks.

I've got a Jeep right now, and it's great for going places where I wouldn't want to take any of my bikes, and it is fun to drive. In a perfect world it would be sunny and 80 degrees every day. It'll be sunny here Monday, but with a high of -2 F forecasted, it isn't exactly scooter weather.

There are fun cars out that that I'd enjoy driving, but the feel of riding cannot be beat.

I would hate to give up either one (nice cars or nice bikes), have had plenty of both.  Wife wants to go to Barrett Jackson or Mecums and pick up a nice hot rod where someone else has dropped $100K plus into building it and hopefully pick it up for around $50K or so.  I've been on the other side of that equation so this time we figure we'll buy a ready made investment grade hot rod; plus I'm getting older and don't want to spend the 2 plus years and many hundreds of hours it takes to build one at home.  I love 1940 Ford Coupes, 1937/38 Chevy Coupes, 32 Ford Highboys, and 34 Fords.  We always seem to keep 6 or 8 bikes around including a good Harley or two plus a couple hot rods.

X2 and well said.

Do enjoy the MINI on good days and when it's icy/snow/salt on the road and can't ride Ginger.  Have had WAY too many cars/trucks/motorcycles since my first car at 12 (1966 Corvair...bought it for $50 and sold it for $75 and didn't run....my first and ONLY profit on a vehicle... :2vrolijk_21:) but always find myself migrating back to two wheels.  Mad said it best in the quote above.

Same here.  The Porsche Boxter looks pretty good to me, but not yet....
My wife had a 2005 Boxter S that she loved. Talked her into trying a trike, she went with the CanAm RSS Limited, vs the HD trike in 2010. By 2012, the Boxter had only been driven half a dozen times and less than 1K miles in more than 1 1/2 years. she finally sold it.
She fell in love with riding herself and has more than 25K miles on this trike since spring 2011. Sturgis this last summer as well as 4 out of state trips made 2012 the funnest riding year yet.!!
So moral of the story, think trike, not sports car, more years in the wind before being caged

Life begins just outside your comfort zone and you havent lived until you push a full dress harley on a hot day up a grade because your low mile twincam fell apart, and your convinced it's to bitchen to leave it there.           Ugh pardon me but do you have any beer?

I have an 80 vette, I think I put 500 miles on it in 2012, maybe less.

I put 2505 on my 13 CVO road king in Nov and Dec of 12.

I also put 21450 on my 12 CVO road Glide from Dec 11 to Dec 12

I also put 600 on my fatboy.

I do have a Nice Range Rover Evoque the I love and the wife likes a lot.  We have just under 10,000 miles on it in 12 months.

I like having a nice car, but Love having nice bikes.

The bikes get used more.  Wife rides her own, 35K on her street glide Dec 11 to Dec 12

Funny how we own two different kind of vehicles.

One we love to put money into and then use, and one that sucks money out of us and we don't use! ;)

My '12 FLTRXSE got just over 13K in 12 months, including 6 weeks of nursing an injured tailbone... so not bad...

Less than 5K on my '07 Silverado Crew Cab...

Less than 100 miles on my '92 Camaro RS 1LE B4C... This spends more time on a tender than our two bikes.

Now.. If I'd stop riding maybe I would finish my 46 Stylemaster... :huepfenlol2:
