Jerry (grc) I agree with everything you said.  Like you I always pass on any extended service plan for the same reasons you state.  However, the one exception is with the H-Ds I've owned.  I've always been a 'winner'  :'( - getting much more in benefits than I paid for the plan.  Obviously I would prefer not to have the problems necessitating costly repairs but I have resigned myself to the fact that if you are a high mileage H-D owner something major will most likely happen.  I think the ESP company makes its bucks from those who buy but put few miles on their bikes - and there are lots of them.

I am not a high mileage rider but i bought an extra 3 years today as my first 2 expires in a couple weeks. I think it is worth the money after reading all the problems some of you have had. so far i have had none but at least now it won't come out of my pocket if it lays an egg. for $1191 it is worth it to me for peace of mind. With any luck maybe i will never have to use it.
