Condensation in my HD LED passing light's
« on: January 16, 2013, 08:53:24 PM »

I just got back from a 200 mile day & 1 of my LED  passing lights has moisture in it. After cooling down the moisture went away. I have'nt had them about 6 months (need to find receipt). Should I have any concerns about this light? Should I try & get it replaced?  Has anyone had a problem like this with the Led lights & did they get replaced under a warranty?

Thanks, Dan

I've seen reports from other people with the same problem, so perhaps some of those folks will chime in.  The LED lamps are a sealed unit, unlike the stock lamps, and they shouldn't have condensation/moisture in them.  Harley has replaced them under warranty for this issue in the past, so if I were you I'd contact the dealer you bought them from and if they won't help I'd call H-D Customer Service.  Assuming you bought them six months ago, the service part warranty should cover them for a full twelve months.

I emailed Lake Shore HD where I purchased them from. I also sent pics of the condensation in the light. Bill from LSHD replied & sent it to parts return/warranty department. He said he will get back to me.

Passing light sent back to Lake Shore HD to be warrantied. That's what I'm talking about! We all should be treated this good!
