Anyone heard of this?
« on: January 18, 2013, 05:27:31 PM »

Seems like a good idea.

http://charlotte.craigslist.org/mcy/3532618707.html

I wonder if it offers any protection?
It would be cool to get a design matching the colors of the outer fairings. (especially the 03 Classic)
Anyone with experience using this?

Doing the same thing w/our (FD) light vehicles. We use a two color paint scheme (red/black) buy red vehicles and use black wrap on the parts of vehicle we want black. They say it's just as good/better than paint and not as expensive. :nixweiss:

Most of the NASCAR jobs are done in my hometown of Rock Hill, SC. Didn't know you could peal it back off easily :nixweiss:

The 03 operates under the principal of,
"what can shine, will shine."
At 60K miles I would like to preserve it as much as possible
But since I try to ride every bike every month it's hard to avoid those nasty front fairing nicks.
I may stop in and see these guys and see if they can do a silver and black cover for the fairing.

I have seen two jobs done with some kind of clear, not sure if that is what these folks are promoting for over the factory paint or not.
One was perfect and one looked cloudy, I assume the coudy one had a poor installation?

That would be Killer.....if they could match it perfect. Would cover any small nicks & prevent new ones. Let me know how close they can get the colors and I will get my fFairing done :orange:

There is all sorts of things they can do with this. I was at a motorcycle show yesterday and there was a company out of NY that could do any theme you wanted on your bike. They had some camo patterns and various colors and styles. I'd be more concerned with ever trying to take it off or replacing it
