Exaust Systems, Best on the market!
« on: January 19, 2013, 10:35:10 AM »

Hi All,

Recently got myself a new FLSTSE3 Convertible and have started with the upgrades,(loving the CVO)

I have now stared looking for a exhaust System and am looking for some advice and or recommendations,
Have been having a good look around and have taken a shine to the Vance & Hines 2 into 2 big radius and the D & D Boarzilla 2 into 1 but will consider anything thats quality/looks/performs and sounds right, the price is really not an object and am just looking for the best on the market!

Thanks,
Charlie

Thanks,
What tuner would you match with the D and D? is the SE Super Tuner any good?

I believe the D&D Fat Cat would be the choice. The Boarzilla is better on a bigger motor.

well. do you want power or looks? they are not the same thing!

lsr black hole - http://www.rbracing-rsr.com

a pipe that is too big for the engine will make it a dog at slow speeds.

if money is no object then put in a 120r - then the engine will be big enough for a monster exhaust [and those engines are known to be fairly reliable]

just remember, its important, if looks and sound are what you want and you never go very fast and you dont give a hoot how fast the thing accelerates - then you can install almost anything you want and it will "work"

as for tuners - tts, ssert - there are many many others - but again if you "want" folks to see your flat screen tuner tool then get that, if you want it run as best as it can then use a proper tuner and get it tuned by a proper tuner [ie not a 20 year old with a hammer].

luck!

Trying to find a balance with whats high performance, quality and still looks good!

The fat Cat low looks nice and the same spec/performance, will contact D & D today

Not bothered about the flat screen tuner!!! just want something thats high quality/low maintenance and does what it says on the wrapper! any advice would be appreciated,

Look at the Bassani Road Rage 2 into 1.  I ended up going with one (short version) on my CVO Breakout.   Great sound!  Peformance!

As many say...."Dare to be different"

Here's a youtube clip with it on the rocker c

Bassani RR long + Nightrider FL XiED's  Strong bottom end, plenty fast 125 mph by the gps. still gets 42 - 48 mpg.

IMHO

Very Nice, going to take a closer look at the Bassanis, I'm loving the D & D Boarzilla but not sure about having to modify the bags!

None taken - the sound is nice rumble. I had the fuel gauge changed by the dealer so as to get the full 2 year warranty.
I like to be seen, so that's why I leave them on. I also added the HD fog lamps to the Lindy so as to be seen by oncoming traffic.
Now if it would be Spring :confused5:
