hidden antennas

 i removed the tour pak and added a solo seat (08 ultra classic) anyone suggest an antenna. i prefer the hidden one if they work if not an external is o.k.the bike is a non cvo. thanks in advance!!

Internal antennas do not work as well as the external whips. The best one that we have found is the Tune Trapper.  It is a non amplified unit that fits well in the fairing. I have always stayed away from the amplified or powered units.

Look at a Lund 81055 billet antenna for a nice small external.......

I have the newer version hidden antenna in my 2012 CVO road glide and it works well

As mentioned, no internal fairing antenna will be as good as an external because of all the electronics in the fairing, and the smaller size. Antennas are either mechanically (length) or electronically (powered) configured. So you get to pick which bothers you less, the look, or less reception. If you stay around populated areas, reception should be fine, as you lose about 20-30% signal with a hidden antenna.
