Hi From St. Louis, Mo

Finally registered after looking around for a few months.  I've got a 2000 Black White Orange.  I bought it a little over a year ago.  Inner cam bearing came apart in North Carolina last summer while riding 2 up with my wife and a group of friends.  Big ordeal getting it home, but I've finally got the funds together to get it back running again, so I'm looking for info on  the best combination of performance and reliable touring.

Welcome to the site from Mississippi. I'm sure if you've been lurking for a few months you have seen there are many opinions to get you where you want to be. If you are going to have the work done ask around and find a good mechanic. Go with what they recommend and are comfortable with. Good luck.

Welcome to the site from Northwest, NJ  :)  As for recommendations on engine enhancements, follow pkl comments start with a good mechanic that you are comfortable with and he should provide you with the right setup.  Good luck and keep us updated with our progress.   :2vrolijk_21:

Welcome from Wisconsin and ditto on the advise from pkl.  Get it done right and then as they say "inspect what you expect" and it will be an enjoyable experience for you.  There are a ton of improvements over some of the early twin cam stuff. :2vrolijk_21:
