Have you ever sat on ££ milions
« on: January 22, 2013, 08:26:16 PM »

Couldn't hold back had to share what happened to day at work. I was called to go and check out a fault with a security anti ramraid security industrial door and anti ram barriers. At a holding, counting and dispatching security building for HSBC bank. This is a place were all the cash comes from the banks, gets counted and sent back out. Well after I got through all the security checks and in to the hart of the place my chin hit the floor, there were steel cage pallets all over the place each about 2x2m square and 1m deep. I looked down at one beside me and couldn't help my self had to sit on it. The tag on the top that I was sitting beside had the count of 4.6 MILION pound sterling. Just couldn't figure how to get it in my tool box :confused5:I thought that would have been a nice round sum for the repair but they would go for it :(
So they were happy with the repair and I left sadder then when I went in and just as broke.

How many CVO's did you purchase in your mind in that short period of time?

Wow Pete.  Ain't it fun to dream....then we have to wake up  ;D  Too bad you couldn't get a picture of that to post.  Oh well, you still have the memory.  I could think of quite a few things I would do with 3.3 million US....maybe a trip to England.... :2vrolijk_21:

Some pic would have been cool to get of all that cash just sitting there "screaming" take me, spend me!!!
But that was one the first things taken off me mate, my belt pouch camera and phone. Never seen so much cash. There was about 20 or so of those cages all full. I felt funny being around it all, hard to explain if you know what I mean   just weird. I don't know how the people that work there day after day do it. I think the lottery is the best to dream for. The one sure thing you can count on is "you don't play your guarantied to loose"!!!!.

A few years ago I was working in Saskatchewan and rented a room above a bank...it was the one that the Indian's casino deposited their money on by armored truck...even that made me jealous...I can only imagine what the millions musta been like!

As I'm sure many here have, took a tour of the Bureau of Printing and Engraving in DC many years back. Had the chance to stand above 280 million in $20 bills. Needless to say, a very large open room.......left with an uncut sheet of 20 $1 that I paid $24 for. A good investment, after all these years they are now worth 20 bucks  :confused5:
