Rivco Flag Mount
« on: January 28, 2013, 04:27:44 PM »

For those that may be interested...

I spoke with a CSR at Rivco today regarding the hardware for mounting the 3 pole flag mount. The current hardware requires removal of the filler panels or worse....modification of those panels. Neither of which was an option for me. They are currently in the process of developing new hardware that will work for the CVO's (FLHTCUSE8). It still has to undergo testing, but should be ready in a couple of months.

In regards to Rivco mounting hardware for flag mount or luggage rack.

I just talked to Chad at Rivco today. They have finished redesigning there mounting kit. It will now come under the filler strips on the CVO models. This will now be there new design for all Harley touring bikes. The product is ready and they will be shipping out tomorrow March 12, 2013. Just be sure to ask for the new design, as they still have some old stock to go. This is Good news as i require a little more storage and they have a nice removable rack.

I can confirm the new version does not require modification or removal of the filler panels.  I called Rivco and spoke with Chad.  He confirmed that all their inventory has been converted to the newer version.  He cannot obviously speak to what you'll get if you order elswhere.  I bought the mount and installed in on my 2013 CVO Ultra and it fits perfectly with no modification or remval of the filler panels.
