Got a flu shot yesterday for the first time in over 10 years because I'm 55, blah, blah...this afternoon, not feeling so hot....may have to take off work early....of course, that might have something to do with this new Corbin delivery sitting in my office... ;) ;)

Don, knew you were having "issues" with getting eveything done, but didn't know it was being that large PITA.  Sorry to hear of all the screw-ups.  Damn shame...on the bright side, sure is going to be pretty when you get it all together.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Parts did arrive to me yesterday.  All the machined parts and all the other parts minus the Thundermax setup.  Strictly for eye candy's perspective here's what has arrived:
Don,
I had opened up this window to reply how good the parts looked, and how glad I bet you were that they were back. Before I posted this reply I continued reading in the thread about all the difficulties that had to be overcome to get to where you are now (and it's not even the end yet). I have to give you credit you have been patient (more patient then I could have ever been), and from reading all you've been through you have totally convinced me the way my bike is now is just perfect for me. There is no way I could deal w/all you've gone through to get to this point. As others have said it will be rewarding when others see your bike and appreciate the work you've put into this project. However if it were I each time someone appreciated it would only remind me of the frustrations I had to get through to get to that point. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

BTW - I did notice you color coordinated the towel to display your new powder coated/diamond cut parts on. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

You guys are freakin me out,  [smiley=nervous.gif] I just had, for the first time, a flu shot yesterday. Hopefully I won't get sick now[smiley=sick2.gif]
Jim,
I too was one of those people that didn't want/get the flu shot, but started getting them last year. Haven't had any problems (sickness) that can be related from taking the shot, and haven't gotten the flu either. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] In my profession it is recommended we get them, because of dealing with people that will be sick/infected w/the flu. I'm even checking into the MMR (Measles/Mumps/Rubella) vaccinations I took when I was a kid to make sure I'm up to date on those since locally there has been an outbreak of the mumps. Never thought when I was younger it would be so hard to stay healthy. [smiley=confused5.gif]

Twolanerider, just think af those poor soles with their bike at the dealer having the same thing done to their bike. They did not have the luxury of having a spare set of parts laying around to send off for machine work, powdercoating, diamond cutting, etc... You are still going to love it in the end though. After all the work is complete and all those want to bee's comment on how good your bike looks and performs you might then feel it was worth it [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
I had the luxury of having spare parts to send off when I did my blue motor. When it went south I did not have the time to wait for the powdercoating and diamond cutting. 3 months for machine work was bad enough. The whole time my bike was in the shop. All down time. Feel lucky this did not happen to you. Feel sad for those it is happening to now.....Just my 2 cents worth

Yeah Brian, I know.  Having the spares makes all the difference in the world.  I know I'm bitching far more because they (the various vendors) deserve it than because I've really got anything important to bitch about.  And I am still very much looking forward to the end product.

I'd be seriously cranky if the bike had been down all this time.  As it is really am just cranky because they've screwed around long enough and screwed up often enough they all deserve someone to be cranky with them.  And there is a difference there.

Have thought more than once about your blue motor too.  It'd be a heart break to go through all that and then have it go belly up so soon after the fact.  I cross my fingers and toes and do my best to cover all the bases possible to avoid potential problems.  But nothing is ever absolute.
