No, in between the right saddle bag and the wheel. Never had any problems and we went  trough lots of rain.

Is it possible for you to post pictures of the install?

Very interesting concept and it would be helpful to see exactly how and where it is installed between the bag and wheel.

Ok, I have been receiving lots of request to post the info I have concerning relocating the amp in between the right saddle bag and the wheel so here it is. Attached, you will also find the parts needed to turn your stationary tourpack into a quick release tourpack.

I hope it will help tou guys!


Here is some parts for quick release...
