New headlight bulb
« on: February 04, 2013, 04:19:33 PM »

Was thinking about the LED lights but I suffer from anal glocoma and I just couldn't see my a@s spending the money....

I changed my standard headlight bulb with the PIAA Xtreme bulb. Purchased a two pack from Amazon for 48 bucks shipped. Check out the pic on the improvment.

that sounds like a good price as I recall my PIAA bulb for my '05 Heritage running me north of $50 bill.  Most lights will appear bright in a picture such as yours.  the question is, how do you perceive the improvement?  With the one I had, I figured it was about 50% (1/2) briter than the standard bulb.  How would you rate it?  I know that with this new LED bulb, I can see off inside the ditches on either side of the road.  Different color of light than I am used to but I like to be able to see deeeeeeerrrrrrrr!  Your bulb is a heck of a lot cheaper of course but what does it do for you on the open road?  do you have any plans to add highway lights?

Hey Porky,

Good questions. 3 inches of snow fell last night so I'm not able to take the scoot for a spin and provide feedback. I will on the next warm day and report back.

BTW good information on the LEDs.....lots of deer in N.E. Ohio so that's something I'll take into condieration.
