Extended Warranty
« on: February 11, 2013, 09:08:34 PM »

So what should we be paying for an extended warranty offered by Harley-Davidson ESP. I have a 2011 Street Glide CVO with about 15000 km. how many would save the money and take a chance and not have any further warranty mine runs out in about 2 months, just in time for the new riding season.

I f you plan on keeping the bike I would buy 5 more years. the bikes are pron to lots of problems no matter how well you take care. Mine has saved me 4 grand at least maybe more still have one more year and  i drive very conservatively.  About 12000 miles per year.     Billy

I guess it really a roll of the dice. I have never bought one, don't even know how long they have been offered. I would bet I have saved enough to buy a CVO in the 45 yrs I have been riding. But then, if somtin big breaks.............. :stars: :bigcry:

Sure it's a gamble but if you have a CVO dresser or CVOSG a warranty claim or two on the electronics alone could make it worthwhile.  Most probably don't recoup what they paid for their warranty but some riders will way more than make up for it.  Call it peace of mind, especially if you keep the bike and rack up lots of miles smiles.
