Integrated turn signals
« on: February 14, 2013, 08:16:39 PM »

Looking at changing the rear guard to the US version, however the brake turn signals are all red.

There have been a few guys that have gone the US version style but this is illegal as the turn signals are red.

Are there any integrated brake turn signals for the SG available?

Me too!!
My Bike is in a container somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean right now, and I must find a way to get amber flash signals before registration in Sweden.

You guys could run the US version lights all in red on the rear guard between the fender and saddle bags as tail and brake lights. Then install some mini led lights in amber and use them for your flashers. Mount them up along the rear of the fender chrome trim area near the top along both sides of the rear fender.

I got my bike this week  ;D
Not a scratch on it from transportation  :orange:
So I quickly made two stainless brackets that could be mounted between the lid lock and the bag.
And mounted mini LED flashers like FLY-DOG suggested  :2vrolijk_21:
That way I didn't have to drill new holes :)
I made this as temporary solution to get it thru Swedish registration.
But it didn't turn out that bad. Maybe I'll keep it.
What do you guys think?

If I remember correctly when I was at the factory this summer doing the steel toe tour, we saw a cvosg on the line that was being imported to Japan, I believe.  It had a red tail light in the center of the rear fender, and amber turn signals where our red signals are on our US models. I don't know how you would get your hands on them but they do make them.

That will look good once you do both sides and get all the bags  and the seat back on.   You won't notice them from behind until you hit the turn flashers.  :2vrolijk_21:

My guess is he doesn't want to install that ugly red tail lamp on the rear fender like some of the Euro and Canadian models.

Exactly  8)

I don't know how many countries that allows red flashers, but I think most international models comes with some sort of ugly bolt on "solution"  ;)

OK, this is also a bolt on. Only smaller!

Aussie:
Take a look at the Custom Dynamics LED Rods. You can hide them between the bags and fender.  It may be a viable option to explore.

Henric.S:
I see that you have the CFR slip-ons.  Will you have any problems from LEO in Sweden and can you get through inspection with them?

They look good, nice and bright. Would be nice if they could come up with the standard look with integrated Turn/Brake signals.
