2012 CVO Muffler Sound
« on: February 24, 2013, 10:38:12 AM »

I'm selling my 2002 Road King (95") and want to keep the mufflers I currently have on it.  I was thinking of buying a set of take offs to put on the '02.  I have a chance to buy a set of 2012 CVO mufflers off an Ultra.  The muffs are stock with not mods to them.  Will they have a decent sound to them?  Thanks for the advice.

2012 mufflers sound great, especially when the cat is removed.

I didn't think CVO mufflers from 2009 on had cats since the cats were in the headpipe.

I'm looking at putting these 2012 CVO muffs on a 2002 RK with 95" motor.  Stock headpipes.  There were no cats in 2002!  Thus I was trying to get some idea how they would sound on a 2002 RK with 95" motor.

My point was, my 2012 sounds great with stock cvo mufflers and the cat removed. Sorry I wasn't clear before.

Don't fly anymore, Specials Ops helicopter flying is a young mans game.  I was very lucky indeed, the 160th was a great honor!
