At Four Rivers Harley-Davidson In Paducah Ky we only mark ours up $1500.00 over MSRP and charge no doc fees ...

BamaHarleyDude. I noticed you posted as if you are with Sills, Four rivers in Paducah but list your location as Alabama?  The reason I ask is I'm near Paducah. New here and just curious who is who.

It's a shame, but a lot of dealers sell CVO bikes and ALL their inventory over MSRP. I sell for a dealership in Willow Street, PA that has never sold a bike over MSRP. The owner has the train of thought to sell at MSRP and we still make plenty of money. (we have no problem selling the CVO's we have sold some leftovers the past 2 years at discount) Anyone who is looking for CVO's and can't find them can contact me and I'll try to help you find your bike, we have an FLHTCUSE2 on the floor and 2 more coming within the next month.

Ride safe,

Pitbull,

You are the only person that I know of that works at a HD Dealership that is involved with this site, I tell a lot of dealers in my travels about the site and all I get is a deer in the head lights look.  They do not know about the site or even seem to care.  Oh well, their loss!

If people shop around there has always been bikes available at MSRP and even some discounting.  I bought my 2003 Screaming Eagle Duece at $1,000 off MSRP, of course it was a left over and February and snowing in New York at the time!  I picked it up two weeks later in a trailer!

Around here,  most dealers sell the CVO's over MSRP.  We can ride year round ( N. TX ) and seeing something like a SEEG or a SEUC on the showroom floor is unheardof, except at one dealer that's outragious in pricing and won't take deposits.  The very few that do sell CVO's at MSRP are far and few between and book up way in advance. Some already have deposits on 08's not even knowing what's coming.  When I purchased mine, I made over 30 phone calls trying to locate one ( AUG 05 ) and wound up buying one about 60 miles away for 1K over.  MSRP deals would have cost me that much in time and travel anyway, so it was better for me to fork up here and bend over.  :'(

Hey Ken, (Hogbreath),

Har-Bama is the new sales manager at four rivers. He moved up here from Alabama last of the year. He is a great guy. You need to come and meet him. His name is Scott but they call him Bubba.

Barry

Ok. I'm slow to catch on, but i'm gradually catching on. I've stopped by four rivers several times. In fact, I remember the guy in the wheel chair and the dark headed sales lady rushing out to see the tour pack I'd added the docking hardware to. Seems like a great bunch there at Paducah. I'm sure I've seen Scott, but I can't put a face to the name.

We have tasted of the Harley KoolAid  [smiley=drink.gif] so at the end of the day most of us will pay the price.  Some will hold back, but most will go.  I got lucky and paid MSRP as that is the standard in this area, but I would have paid more if I had to.

How much camplaining can I do if I pay $10 for a quart of oil or $50 for a bottle of wax?  How about $450 for a little computer chip?  Naw, I'll just shut up and save my complaints for the Carolina Panthers!! [smiley=furious3.gif]

I know this thread has been runnin' a while, BUT, When I walked into High Country Harley, I was greeted by the sales manager. He explained the prices on the tags on the bikes. MSRP+Shipping+Setup. No hidden costs no additional markup, what you see is what you get. When I asked about my 06 CUSE, he said he had an allocation he had received that morning. I laid down my $1000 bucks, and still paid MSRP+ the additional charges. We got 10% off on all purchases from the time of our order until delivery. (From this site, I learned to negotiate the extended warranty and got it for 20% off ;D) When my bike was delivered, the owner of the dealership came down and introduced himself and asked how the service had been to that point. I was extremely satisfied with what I encountered.

It is nice to find a dealer that asks a "fair" price and provides customer service. They are out there and definatley worth looking for. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

That's a great reccommendation! I bought mine from Mile High HD in Aurora and was treated well there. I'll be sure to keep High Country in mind for future purposes. No intentions of EVER buying a bike from Pikes Peak HD in Colorado Springs. They still think it's the old days and charge premiums above MSRP for their bikes.

I got when I bought my bike the same kind of treatment at Lynchburg, HD, and still get it every time I go there.  At Colonial HD they still have a lot of CVOs on the floor from multiple years.  I just want to laugh out loud when I see them, but, I don't really go in there much anymore.  They don't have anything I can't get elsewhere and I see there prior staff getting more and more integrated in other HD shops.  Seems the business is just rotten everywhere.  You don't keep good customers or good staff if you don't do things on the up and up.  I would reccomend Lynchburg or either of the two Richmond stores if anyone is shopping in VA.  I know that I had a price of MSRP at the Yorktown store, but they just did not get their stock in and Lynchburg had on the floor the bike I wanted when I was shopping.   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

FYI!!! Additionally, Aspen Valley Harley is no longer part of the Rossmeyer Empire. The new owners are not only MSRP dealers, but the entire atmosphere has changed. (They are also getting ready to build a new building right next to I-70. That should help with drive in traffic.)

I recently purchased a 07 CVO Springer in N C for 23.995 plus tax tag the transaction took about a week of pissing and moaning ... the dealer had 4 springers arrive withen a 3 week period  . I guess they realized they can not eat the darn things... So hold your ground . FYI their are two CVO Dynas in Charlotte N C at 24995 &tt
