Here is something I just read from Harley Davidson of Dallas facebook page.

"Ya'know how BAD ASS the attached 2013 CVO Breakout already is?!?! ***HARLEY-DAVIDSON® JUST ANNOUNCED THAT THEY WILL UNVEIL THEIR ALL NEW MODEL --- 2013 SOFTAIL BREAKOUT --- TOMORROW!!! Count on H-D of Dallas to bring you pictures & updates as soon as we get them!! CAN'T WAIT!!"

Your friend was right. The local dealer said that it will be introduced in Daytona tomorrow! 2013 1/2 Softail Breakout.

I was in the dealership today (Nassau County Harley Davidson), and a salesman showed me the video of the new Non-CVO Breakout.  His information & video  came directly from a HD-1.net website; a website that is available to H.D. employees only.

The Non-CVO Breakout will be available immediately, and bikes are already being shipped from the plants.  It is slated to be a mid-year release, and also a standard production bike.  The bike will come in (03) colors; Vivid Black, Midnight Pearl Blue, & Sunglo Red.  I saw photos of all three bikes, and I like the CVO a lot better.  The NON-CVO has black drag bars, black rims, and a 103 engine & the factory left much room for you to spend you money accessorising it.......   as far as I am concerned it is CVO or bust!!!

ps... there will be people who will actually buy & receive these new Non-CVO's before the rest of us that have been waiting forever..... not cool!!!

Wonder if its going to have the same speedo/tach cluster as the CVO. Wouldn't think so. That thing is definitely a cool feature.

It looks like the same speedo/ tach in the photos.... but not sure.  The big concern to me was that nobody knew if the CVO model would be discontinued.... especially before ALL the orders have been completed or delivered.....

It's officially on the HD website now. Definitely prefer the CVO over the standard!

The good part is that now with more Breakouts on the road, perhaps the aftermarket community will increase the output of things designed to fit.
