Curious, what ya mean by blocked?  There should be two 12 point bolts that you remove to take off caliper.

Jacques, I have never had them so tight they could not be removed.  I have had them so tight I broke a standard chrome socket and had to use a stronger impact socket though.

The bolts come with high strength thread locker on them, and it will often take a great deal of force to break them loose.  Applying heat will help, but the proximity to easily damaged surfaces on a Harley tends to make that less of an option.

Make sure you're using a good 12 point socket that fits very well so you don't damage the bolt head or socket, then use a breaker bar and mallet to "break" the bolts loose with a quick impact.  Or of course if you have an impact wrench that will do the job easily.  Replace the bolts when you reinstall the the calipers.  Some will probably say you don't need to do that, but it's always best to go with caution when dealing with brake systems.

Have changed brake pads many times and blue has always been fine.  Just torque to correct value.

Don't worry Jacques.  Red might have been preferred but you'll be fine.  Would bet 80-90% of brake jobs done in shops don't use Loctite or a torque wrench.  Just get pulled down to what feels tight and all is good.

I agree with you.
On the old screws it was no loctite : it's a sign  ;)
When I know not if it's necessary, I prefer to securise with a little bit.

Thanks to share your experience with me and others  :drink:
