Pull behind bike campers
« on: March 03, 2013, 04:44:03 PM »

Just wondering how many are out there.  I have the very first Roll-a-Home made in Hobart OK.  I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this camper.  We all like a little bit different things so I was wondering what your pulling? Likes and dislikes?

Man, this caught my eye!!! What is the pull weight if you don't load it at all?

The weight is somewhere around #300.

Actually no,  There is nothing that I would change.  Billy was great on working with me on building the exact camper that I wanted.  it is a great piece.  I have around 20,000 pulling it.  (I never keep track exactly)  Pulls easy.  I have really loaded it heave too.  I use a Bush-tec hitch.  Made my own wiring harness.

I would never have any reservations about recommending this unit.

My friend I ride with pulls another brand and we both pulled older makes.

The pic is three bikes pulling three different make of campers to Sturgis two years ago.

That is a good looking rig and well made from what I can tell from your pics with lots of storage.  My take on camping is I did my share in Scouts sleeping outdoors.  Now days, after 500 plus miles on the hightway, I want AC, hot shower and a big bed inside.  This rig would be a great way to travel if camping is your thing, however.

We have one similar to the one in the middle of picture. Been to Sturgis and back and many other places, even have a shower tent and instant hot water heater works great. Nice to sleep off the ground even pack a small heater to help on cold nights or mornings just fire it up and nice and toasty in minutes. 325lbs before adding gear. My jim's 131 pulls it real nice.

I am hoping that my new 110 will do the trick.  I did the Harley hop up on it.  My friend and I pull different ones so we can compare. He always tells me, if everyone liked the same thing. Life would be boring. I would love to see a pic of your Unit.

Here's a picture before the wife moves in  :huepfenlol2:  Mrs R puts out the pink flamingos everywhere. A sliver tarp works the best for shade  :2vrolijk_21: Mrs R even hangs the flamingos off of it also. Trailer Trash at its best.

I've never really been a camping sort of guy, but that set up is so sweet, I may just have to convert  :2vrolijk_21:

I have a Time-Out tent trailer.  Lots of room and up off the ground.... even the dressing area.  It pulls ok, you can feel it behind you (but then I am comparing it to how my BushTec Roadster pulls).  I even have a little window unit a/c I can use with the trailer, if we are going to be out when it is too hot to sleep at night.
We don't use it a whole lot, but it is nice to have when we need it.  It was a really good deal when I bought it.... it was about three years old and had only been used a couple of times.  The "new price" was over $4K and I bought it for $1200.

That is a good buy. I paid 3400 for mine back in 2000. Could have used the a/c a couple of times but then might have spent more time in the tent. HaHa.

That is a smokin deal.  I paid over $4000 for mine new.  I love the pink Flamingos..  Do you rally?  My friend and I hit a rally almost every weekend in the summer.  He has a camper like yours.
