Exhaust For 2005 S.E.E.G.
« on: March 05, 2013, 12:10:57 AM »

I am hoping some one can give me some clarity on parts fittment on my 2005 SEEG. I want to get stock S.E. (quieter) exhaust back on my S.E. Electra Glide and found someone near me that was a complete S.E. Exhaust system for a 2001 S.E. Road King. Will this system fit?

Thanks,
Donnie

Do you have the Parts Cat for you Bike? If not, you can buy from HD or better yet a UBG on eBay.

or you can go to
Ronnie's HD
http://www.shopronniesharleydavidson.com/OEMpartfinder.htm

Look up the P?Ns for your Bike and then the P/Ns for the Bike in question.
If the P/Ns match, that is a very good indication they will fit.

Do you really want it "that" quiet  :nixweiss:

The stock exhaust was so quiet on my bike (05 SEEG) that the air cleaner made more noise.

:) Be very thankful that you live in a State that doesn't have a Vague "Loud Noise Law". In Maine any LEo that feels your exhaust can issue you a summons. That's $135.00 and there is presently No means to Contest it.

In New Hampshire, they use the SAE J2825 Test during Inspection Sticker Testing.
At Idle = 92 dBs or less
At Speed (2000 rpms) = 96 dBs or less

Note: If I had a cat in my header pipe/pipes, it would certainly be gone asap.
Seacoast Harley had a cut up cat converter section. It was packed so tight that you could barely see any light through it. No idea how the exhaust makes it through there.

Responding to Porthole`s post, respectfully, I do want the bike that quiet. My S.E.E.G. when I purchased it used had Rinehart ex. system and that is very loud riding it. The exhaust sound has no character, it`s just loud! I wouldn`t want to ride behind it.

Yep - understand completely. Sometimes a little piece & quiet is good.
