WHAT IS THE HEIGHT OF THE STOCK W/S ON THE 06 SE ULTRA'S

In 2004 the defectors were 4 inches.
In 2005 the deflectors were 6 1/2 inches on the FLHTCSE
In 2006 the deflectors were 6 1/2 inches on the FLHTCUSE (the Ultra)
In 2007 I think they are using the clear stock Harley windshield which is 12 inches on the standard Electra Glide and the standard Ultra.

Gettingold, the 05's were not SE Ultras, but were SEEG's as in SE Electra Glide., so you may want to post this in the SEEG section to get a better response. I think the stock shields were 6", but not positive.

The '07 SE Ultra has the 9 1/2" light smoked windshield.

Get a Clearview...call them and tell them your height, whether you ride two up most of the time or not, and they'll fix you up.  Group buy....great company...great product!!

When you have a weight on the back, Dave, the bike sits down at the rear, and that has the effect of making the screen seem higher. Vertically challenged as I am, it really does make a difference, I can tell you! Distance I can see over the screen in front of the bike is OK one up, but two up I have to stretch to see far enough.

Thanks Jim - I am 6'2" so I look well over the top of every screen I have ever had and never noticed the difference of the passenger - well not as far as screen height is concerned anyways.

I just picked up an '06 Screaming Eagle Ultra and after one ride I changed the windshield to the standard 12" Ultra lightly smoked windshield. My wife indicated it was just too much wind on the 6 1/2" shield that came on it. This 12" seems to do the trick. It looks good too.

pj...as an alternative, particularly if you cannot see over the top of the 12" shield (you really need to be able to see over the top, IMO), you might take a look at the Clearview Windshields in the "Group Buy" section of this forum.  Many of us have purchased these, and with the Euro Lip, it's like gaining a couple of inches in height.  I'm 5'8" and have their 9 1/2 inch...HUGE difference.
