What I am not sure about is,
With the optional harness that allows passing lamps to be switched on with Low and High beam does it plug into the harness sockets behind the switch housing.
For example, disconnect harness and bridge optional harness between the original sockets.

The instruction are not that clear and only show the installation by removing the outer fairing.

Yes, unplug the 12 pin connector and plug the new "independent control harness" between the original sockets. It will only fit one way because as you will see one end has male connectors and one end is female. I attached a copy of the 2nd page of the instructions and highlighted the connector for you.

Perfect, that's what I was thinking.

Thanks for your help

Guys my update, I purchased the pigtail wire harness. Took the headlamp out first, took the outer faring off next. Searched and failed. Read here how again, removed the outer faring again. Searched and finally found this connector. GEEZ, okay if you cock the wheel as turning left, and grab the wires under the switches by the lower triple tree on passenger side (right lower) you can pull this harness out and install the new pigtail in five minuets. Nothing has to come off. One of my buddies just asked where it was and I walked over and pulled his out in seconds. Easy, so if you have any more questions let me know... thanks for this site, again,

That's what I did when I installed the passing lamps, no need to take switch cover off.

I was not sure if the harness connected into the same sockets, you have confirmed what I was thinking  :2vrolijk_21:
Only need to make sure the harness is cable tire into position keeping it out of sight.

Please reread my last post, I realized as I rode later that day I wrote which lower side incorrectly, fixed now. On mine bike's harness there wasn't a tie holding it, nor did it require one to hold it back up.
