« on: March 25, 2013, 02:37:11 PM »

Hey guys i need help, with my 12 fudgesickel. I ordered the saddle bag top lids to add rear speakers, BUT, do i go with Harley or aftermarket amp & speakers. I had the J&M 500 watt 4 speaker set up on my 04 dreamsickel,i thought it was pretty good. After i got the new lids i noticed it takes a 5x7
not a 6x9.   H E L P   !!

I'll third it.   But I do have 5x7 hybrid audio tech saddlebag speakers on order.  I hear great things about them.  Should be anytime now.   I hope

I'm getting ready to install Hybrid Audio Technologies speakers all the way around.  Unity 6.5's in the fairing, Imagine 6.5's in the lowers and Imagine 6x9's in the lids.  Using the Biketronics 720 watt amp.  Tif-2 is a big fan of the HAT speakers and he definitely knows his audio!

I have had them all except the Focals, with that being said, CVOStu's bike sounds like a concert Hall from three bikes back, Crisp, Deep solid sound. I would attribute that to the 4 channel Arc Audio amp that can be had at any stereo shop for about 160 with a built in fan. It will not be plug and play so you will have to wire but pretty simple.
Me, I like my Boom audio on my Ultra. Seems like plenty of power. I'm really not sold on any specific speaker but if you ride in the rain you better go High grade Marine or you will be changing them frequently.

You will love the HAT speakers..I have them in the dash and lowers. Haven't done the bags yet, but thinking about it.
