Zumo 665 Security Lock?
« on: March 26, 2013, 10:18:37 AM »

:idea:Does anyone know of an after-market product or has discovered a method to "lock" the detachable GPS unit on the handle bar mount??  I know most of us are honest and respect each other's equipment - but in case there's a renegade in the crowd. Know what I mean, Vern??  :dankk2:

thanks,
Dan

Hi, I've got the Zumo 660 and I use a product made by Tourtech. It's a lockable device. I've got a Convertible and ride a lot without the screen, hence there is a lot of wind pressure on the sat nav at high speeds. The Tourtech mount looks fine when the sat nav is mounted though it is a bit ugly without the sat nav. Not only does it feel secure when travelling at high speed (without the screen), but it's also secure when the bike is left unattended. It fits straight on top of the standard chrome handlebar mount.

;) Thanks Cliffy!  Perfect.  Just what I had in mind.  Seems a little bulky without the Garmin but very well constructed.  I just viewed the video on the Tourtech website and really like the features.  Well worth the cost at $179.

England, eh??

Thanks,
Dan
