Not sure about the head's inlet port size, I do know they use the same throttle body on the CVO as on the other TBW motors. At least they did in '08 & '09 years. The throttle body assembly for both CVO and STD in those years is 27685-08A. The intake runner size for that throttle body is about 1.655", and there isn't enough meat there to open those up much past 1.670", so I would assume the head isn't larger, but I could be wrong.

I do know the MVA heads are 1.800" inlet port size. They're the same basic casting as the CVO 110 head, but the port size for the CVO may be smaller.

That's all I got....   :(

And the answer is .................... 1.750" to 1.760".  ::) Checked 3 sets that are in for work. I guess for the MoCo that's as perfect as perfect can be.  ;)

Thanks John, Scott thanks also seems as John answered my needs. So would a kury 57 mm tb with a 1.74 port be close enough match, or would the hpi 1.75 be better.
Can get the kury at a real good price, if gains would only be minimal with the hpi, I would like to save a few $ and go with the kury, thanks, John.

already been answered, but we`ve used alot of the HPI t. bodies with 1.760 runners with the 110 heads, minimal work to port match

A slight mismatch between the manifold and head is almost never a bad thing,I would say run it

Can you explain this, as most would think that it would be best to have both intake runner and port blended to match

Pretty common to create a mismatch at the port opening and generally with the manifold being slightly smaller than the opening in the head.

In the case of a 1.75/1.76 port opening and a 1.74 manifold with the head being unmodified what and how much do you think will be gained  in HP, torque or airflow ?

Be willing to bet its little to none.

And why would you mismatch an intake to a head ?

A mismatch at the port opening increases velocity at the port opening.

On a carbed bike with somewhat lazy ports the mismatch can help re energize the port.

Back to the subject at hand IMO bolt it on and run it.

In the almost 30 years of doing this work, racing AHDRA, and ECRA, and just plain general engine building knowledge, I'll admit that is the absolute first time we've EVER heard of actually "masking" or blocking the port/manifold to enhance a well built engine's delivery or output,(WOW!!!!) and basically goes against the grain of all conventional wisdom, or methodology, regarding such.
If that is needed in an attempt to accomplish the desired goal.......I'd suggest another approach altogather.
We WILL NOT be using that tactic...........EVER. ???
Just my honest opinion.

And what general engine building knowledge do you base this on ?

30 years of Harley only engine building ?

With this vast knowledge you have of head porting, what loss of cfm is there with a .010 port mismatch ?
