Who told you 259e?  Hopefully not the parts or service guys at your friendly dealership, since they would be wrong.  The 259e comes in an upgrade package Harley sells to modify a 110.

ALL CVO110 engines come stock with the 255 camshafts, from 2007 through 2013.

Thanks everyone for the reply.  HD service rrep had it right.  The local builder and "expert"  in these swore it was a 259e.  Think I will stick with the kit my dealer is showing me. Thanks again.

I assume you already have a 110, so a kit implies you are looking at an upgrade to the 110.  In that case the kit Harley sells does in fact come with the 259e cams and high compression pistons.  What kit is your dealer showing you?

Sounds like your local expert needs some continuing education hours. I really like the 259E cam i have in the green bike in my avatar with a 103". Great power early on. The 255 is solid but its a touring cam and more noticeable in the 5th gear range and for two up riding. You will get a thousand cam suggestions on this site because almost everyone has a different one.
I think they are all great if used and tuned for your individual riding style and conditions. Good Luck!!

GRC,  You are correct.  That is the kit that they are recommending.  I think I will go with this kit.  I want to keep the bike reliable. I don't need to be a rocket ship any longer.  Does that mean I am getting old??  Haha

Your gonna love the new power brother, oh and the sound that 259E makes through the exhaust at Idle. Sounds like Clydesdale Horses galloping. Badd As......

The 259e cams sound even meaner when you pair them with a Drago's 2-into-1... the Honey Badger just SNARLS!

I am really like the 259E in my CVO Road King.

Build is:
259E cam
10.5 Pistons
Dewey Head work and set comp to 10.8
SE adjustable push rods
Woods directional lifters
5.3 injectors
55 mm HPI
Fullsac DX pipe
Fullsac 2.25 SD cores
TTS master tune, by Doc.

A blast to ride, not a stumble of flat spot anywhere, pulls hard all the way to 5500 RPM

So the dealer finished up the upgrade. They did the first trip on the dyno yesterday. (to work on the map?)  It was 106hp and 114tq. I did the HD kit with the 10:1 piston and the 259e cam. Fell a little short of the 110hp but Super happy!! :2vrolijk_21:

Those are solid respectable numbers and more important seat of the pants gain. Great choice of engine mod. Ride it like you stole it and enjoy
