Installed engine guard
« on: April 06, 2013, 06:30:56 PM »

Today I mounted a mustache engine guard on my bike.  I know many of you have already done this yourself, but for those that haven't, it was super easy.  I think it took me less than 10 minutes, including the time it took to open and unpack the box.  You do not need to unbolt or remove any parts; all three bolts attach through existing holes.  The only tricky part (not really) was that one nut required a 1/2 wrench and the other two nuts required a 9/16.  The guard is light enough that you can easily hold it in place with one hand while you install the top bolt/nut with the other hand.

This is definitely a DIY project that can save you a few bucks in labor charges at the dealership.

The Lindby Mustache bars fit the look of the bike.   :2vrolijk_21:  Looks great!  Now what to do about side burns.    :nixweiss:   :huepfenlol2:

Completely agree, I put the same bars on my bike.  It was super easy and one of the mods that I love and use the most.

I installed this one as well. I looked at both and prefer the way the mustache bar looks on the ConV.  I like it even better when I added the matching Rumble collection highway pegs.

They both look nice on the ConV so you can't go wrong either way.
