Day Maker Headlamps for Road Glide...everyone happy?
« on: April 09, 2013, 03:43:57 PM »

Hi,

Getting ready for some minor spring mods and I was going to order my daymakers from LSHD for $549 large, just wanted to make sure now that there are enough people using them that everyone is happy with them?

They are pretty spendy..........and worth every cent.  You will be happy with your purchase.  They make you much more visible during daytime riding, and light up the night when you ride in the dark.

Check for smudges or fingerprints inside of the lenses when you get them. There's been a rash of that on these. Other than that, I've not heard anything bad about them.

Installed a set on a skunk ryder's bike a few weeks ago.  Posted a couple pics on a thread but will post here again since you asked.  MUCH better than the stock lights.  Well worth the money for these as you can see.  If you get 'em, make sure to post and comment on your experience.
First pic is before installation with stock lights.

And after the installation.  We also installed the custom dynamics LED halo/turn signal bulbs along with their voltage regulator.  Now he can actually see what's on the road now instead of guessing.

Good luck with yours

After trying to adjust the HIDs I just installed on Sunday, I order a set yesterday.  I found the focal point of the HIDs were way to low and to adjusting them correctly would not all me to install the faceplate.  I figured that I would like the new style (2010) headlight mounting plate too.  Ordered from LSHD.

If you ride at night the are worth it.  If you ride two lane twisty country roads at night the are more than worth it.  Hard to believe I can see that much in the country, in the dark with no other lights.

So much so worth it now that they are on my Skunk, I will be adding them to my CVO King!

Just installed mine last week, easy install. Plug and play. LSHD, shipped as advertised. No smudges on the lights. Also did the LED front turn signal.      ( Thanks Haird).......................................I highly would reccomend them.............................Fuzz................................... :coolblue:

Yup, and unfortunately the few I've seen so far have a pretty bad "dazzle" affect for the oncoming drivers.  I don't know if that's just poor beam control, or poor aim, but it's not a desireable thing IMHO.  You can see the same thing in some of the pics people have been posting on the site.  Being visible is great, blinding oncoming traffic is not.  I implore folks to make sure they aim these things properly.  Old guys like me have a harder time with glare at night, and you really don't want me drifting over into your lane because I can't see.
