You're just lucky they didn't do as so many shops might have and just let the bike sit until they absolutely had to get started on it.

Oh, as far as where it's leaking, I haven't seen it yet, but they described it as being around the spark plug hole.

Brian,
Had you noticed anything in the area before?

How/what made them find/notice a problem?

Since they asked about extended warranty I'm taking this to mean that it is an item covered by the extended warranty?

Hope they can keep the parts long enough for you to get some pictures to share with us.

Just came from Bumpus to check on Brians scooter. Took some pics and some didn't turn out so good. The mechanic Brian said he caught it when he saw some signs of oil in this area. He said there is a bolt hole directly above and was wondering if anyone had head off. Brian(103) said never been off. Brian (mechanic) said the way it is it looks like maybe some oil in bolt hole that caused it to push out a section in head. He will have head in tomorrow since they did not meet the overnight deadline yesterday. Gotta go back to work, just wanted to post a couple pics for Brian. See Ya, God Bless!

While I'm at it, the mechanics scooter next to Brians. Nice Shovelhead.

That picture there would look a lot nicer with some of 'd00d's stealth chrome in place!

JR,
Thanks for the pictures. This is just another area to keep an eye on now. [smiley=nervous.gif] As much as I would have rather had a black motor it's times like this when a satin finish will pay off. This appears to be a stain and probably wasn't any fluid built up to give one reason to believe that there was problem in this area. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]
