I wonder if everyone who bought a bike since July 15, 2006 and up to January 2007 knows about the new "special 2 year" warranty on the Genuine Parts the add to the bike, even after delivery?  Your dealer does some paperwork and you get the  warranty through the two year anniversary of your bike?

Just heard about this, has anyone else?  Kind of a nice incentive for those who recently acquired new rides.

Nope, I have never heard of this. Wish I had, probably would have covered the POS pager for alarm system that went tits up on me after a year.

d00d, I think it is only something that just came into being for a select time period.  It would be worth checking out for the new owners though.

The way I understand it-all accessories bought at time of bike purchase and installed by dealer at that time fall under the 2 year warranty of the bike.  The dealer lists all the accessory numbers on a form and file with the MOCO and give you a copy.  IE-the 6 speed gear set would be covered for 2 years.

That has been like that for awhile (I believe even when the MoCo warranty was one year), but I think what Roger is talking about is something new. If I'm correct I think he's implying if you buy something within the two years of factory warranty (at time of bike purchase or anytime within the first two years) it will be included/added to the two year warranty period. Yes that's close, anything added after purchase would get the remaining part of the bikes life to the 2 year from delivery time.  I think however, that this promotion ends in January so any parts would have to be installed by then.  

I'll try to get the correct details today and post.
