CVO Breakout Exhaust options?
« on: April 19, 2013, 09:47:55 AM »

Breakout brothers,

We don't seem to have many options for aftermarket exhaust systems. I've seen the two Vance and Hines offerings. They don't follow the line of the bike very well. Bassani's Road Rage looks pretty decent and blend in well. IMO the short version looks the best so far. The Jekll and Hyde social sound control system seems to have the sound I like but the youtube vid was shot in a garage.  What other options are out there?

If I needed a fairing, windshield, stereo and storage space, I would drive my car. Break out and just say no to bags.

Things are looking good and the hunt for a decent system is over. I should receive my Bassani exhaust today if the delivery company rocks the house. Thanks to Kurt and for going out of his way to hook me up before their planned release date. Also, thanks to Frank for the good price.  I was expecting to get shell shocked on the cost once I realized we have a limited selection. You have revived my faith in the term "customer service."
I've got a big schedule today but I'll burn the midnight oil to have them installed and ready to display at tomorrow's event. I'll post some pictures and video once I get her put back together.

Received the pipes yesterday afternoon and installed them last night. Removing the OEM set took up most of the time. The only problem with the install was the front O2 sensor mounting location is higher than OEM and I had to reroute the wiring to get the couple of inches I needed to get it reinstalled. I think the Bassani's follow the lines and look like they are meant for the bike compared to the arching style of the VH offerings.

another pic....Thanks again to Kurt and Frank for putting together a set for my bike and overnighting them to me. You two definitely made it onto my "good guy" list of vendors.

Jake,

Sorry for the delayed response. I use the Power Vision with AutoTune Pro module and wide band O2 sensors. I went with PV after reading their materials and asking a bunch of questions to the guys who design the software for the different devices.
