Just happened that the used cartridge is here on my desk next to me.  32926-03B .  Got mine about six weeks ago.  Loaded it even though I'll be installing the Power Commander so that should the Power Commander fail somewhere "out there" I'll only have to unplug it and hook the ECM back up normally and will still have a fair baseline in the bike to go along with the pipes and breather.

I actually didn't have any popping with the stock tuning and stock hardware.  After changing to the Stage I air cleaner and loading the chip I did pick up just a tiny bit of light popping that hadn't been there previously.   Still not as much as most bikes (especially carb'd bikes) generally do.  But at little bit nontheless.

Adding the dual pipes and changing the mufflers a few miles after the air cleaner and chip didn't seem to change the new popping any at all.  I'm not worried about it as it is very slight and I'm expecting it to get pretty well cleaned up when the Power Commander tuning gets done.

Hey just out of curiousity, does the powercommander give you more overall power?  I just bought a 2005 electra glide classic and I wanted to install VH true duals and the Oval Slip-ons, also a stage I breather and an oil cooler.  I'm gonna have the dealer install it but I was wondering if I get a power comander will I have more power.  I'm kind of new to this so if anyone has any comment on a better exhaust please let me know.  I want to do the right thing.   [smiley=blank.gif]

Well, no, not really.  What it does do is (in the hands of a good tuner) allow you to dial in the power that the engine is already capable of generating better than does the stock ignition and fuel delivery controls.  It could be setup to maximize toward power, toward economy, or whatever.  But it can only work within the limits of the engine.

Boring to a larger displacement, or a taller cam might give you "more power."  The Power Commander just lets you better utilize the output of the engine that's already available but that we just can't take advantage of without it or some tool like it.

So basically your saying that the dealer is restricting the full power of your bike.  Is there a reason for that?

In case you haven't figured it out (hehehe) I don't know much about the technical aspects of motorcycles.  I've owned two other motorcycles in the past but I really didn't care how they worked, I just wanted to ride em.  Since I purchased my Harley I've taken a greater interest in the workings of the bike and I feel like a kid with a million questions.

By the way this is a great board I've been reading other messages on here and it's amazing how much information you can get from these postings.

I was just wondering if it's possible to remap the EFI unit on the motorcycle yourself?  Or is the powercommander the only option? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

NYChog:

The simple answer is No. You'll need the Race Tuner, a Power Commander or other piggyback device, or a new ignition system like S&S VFI, Daytona Twin tec etc.

The thing that the Power Commander adds, in addition to the air/fuel mods is the abillity to modify the ignition curve (timing).
