Nim Navigation interface module for 2012 CVO Roadglide
« on: April 28, 2013, 11:14:26 AM »

Went to the local stealer yesterday and ask them for a price of of the nim for my bike. They told me that it won't work for my bike, I asked them why and they told me thats what the harley catalogue said. They said it might work if I bought the harness for the rear speakers, I told them why would I buy a harness for rear speakers when my bike does not have rear speakers. I then asked them why they would sell me a GPS knowing damn well I wanted the voice to come over the radio.........I got the deer in the headlight look.

Anyway who is running a 2012 CVO Roadglide with a 660 GPS and NIM and if so does it work meaning the GPS voice comes over the Radio

If I remember right when I installed the nim wiring under the fairing you had to install 4 or 5 wires into the 35 wire radio connector. Then they were a couple wires that were plug and play. Don't know what rear speakers have to do with it. I have found out just because HD does not show it working does not mean it won't.

It can be done.  Do a search for "Installing NIM".

You will have to do some "do it yourself wiring" but you can install the NIM on your bike.

The reason the book says no is because your bike does not have the correct wiring harness to make it plug and play. Even though the NIM is not 100% plug and play anyway.

Here is a start,
