I recently got a new 8th gen iPod. I also got a lightening adapter. Unit plays fine although a message comes on that the iPod is not recognized. Issue is that it is not charging. When plugged in the charge icon (lightening bolt) is not displayed on iPod. It shows a pic of an electrical plug. Any one have this issue and a solution? BTW, 2012 CVO SG. Thanks.

Im assuming that they lightening adapter is for the different plug styles. I had to stop using an IPOD touch becuase the harness in the bike also stopped charging it, though it works fine with the stock little ipod. There was a bad connection with the itouch, and it was too much effort to get it to sit just right for it to charge, so I went back to the little mini one.
