Bluetooth headsets
« on: May 05, 2013, 06:28:01 PM »

I am looking to get 2 bluetooth headsets for my wife and I when we ride. I have been looking at the Sena system and the Cardo Scala. I have no experience with either and I am looking for input from the members here as to what they use and what they like or don't like about each system

Thanks

I prefer to ride with a half helmet

The 2 I am looking at are the Cardo Scala G9 mainly because it has a better range ( at least that is what they state )

And the Sena SPH10H-FM because of it's ease of use. I am leaning towards the Sena at this point based on my research

But I was hoping to get some more pros and cons of both units from the members here

Thanks

My wife and I use the Cardo Scala G9. This is the only system that I have used and it works great.  We have conversations just like we were sitting next to each other. She is a new rider and we both feel safer with the added communications.  2 of our other friends also purchased them and we are albe to have 4 way conversations as well.

The other feature that I like is the paring with your phone. That features works great as well.

Good luck.

I have 2 scala rider g4 powersets, each one has 2 headsets. Both were used once for about an hour. My wife no longer rides. Are you interested in buying a set?

Thank you for the offer but I decided to go with the Sena because of the ease of use. And they just arrived today

I have an SMH10 (SENA) and love it but have not yet used it for intercom, only for solo w/ iPhone.

I ordered the SMH10HFM for my daughter's lid. It turns out that it doesn't fit the webbing on hers and then looking at NEW lids, I'm  not having much luck finding a half lid that it will fit(?)
I'll prolly have to return it for another like mine and just switch her to different helmet type.
