That's crazy. Here is mine. One rainy day and you are done.

1 - Tour Pak Removal Kit
1 - Streetglide seat
1 - hide-a-way antinna kit for inside faring
1 - streetglide tag holder & bulb and lins. It mounts right to our turn signals. It is the same part.
1 - lowering kit

I relocated the amp to my right saddle bag. I used automotive two sided tape and mounted to the inside front of my bag. I cut the felt linner and it looks custom in there. There is no need to cut any off the wires for the amp. Unplug it and reroute it to the bag and plug it back up. You will need to cut a small hole for the amp wire to go through. I cut me a slot at the top so the wire will just set in place. I used a rubber grommet to seal it up. As for the other wires on the tour pack. you can just unplug and role them up under the seat, but I made quick disconnects. I can have my pack on in 5 minutes and ready to ride.
As for heat on the amp. I live in Georgia. I do try to keep my gloves and items like that away frm the amp but there is still a lot of room in there and I have never had a problem at all. I have put my hand in there to see how hot the amp gets because I have heard so much about them holding SO MUCH HEAT. I would say mine stays just a little above lukewarm. Somewhere around 100~105.

P.S. the kit you get will come with a tag holder. It will work. I had to relocate mine below the tail light because of the luggage rack I bought. You will not need to buy that part of my list. You don't need the lowering kit as well but the ultras do set one inch higher than street glides. They set like a heavy duty truck if you don't drop it one or two inches. Lowering kits are around $80 and they work great. I ride on highways to Florida and in the mountains of north Georgia.

Here is another picture.

I just took it to the next level with Street Glide rear fender and stretched bags. It really is simple, the only time consumming thing is to relocate the amp to right saddlebag, but if you have a couple molex connectors this is easy as well.

Good question. I was thinking about getting new bars and I never thought about that part of it. Thanks for thinking about that.

I sure did. No problem at all. I followed Wild ones instructions to cut a little off the left side bar ,1/4" so the controller for the heated grip will fit and the grip will be flush against the switch housing with no play. Some guys say no but I actually did it and its correct like this. I used a Steel Tubing cutter and it was very easy. All internal wiring fit perfect with no extensions needed on my 578's. Throttle by wire was perfect. Any taller bars like the 577 you may need extensions for throttle by wire. There are several companies that make kits for all your needs.

Don't listen to your dealer, They lie and tell you things cant be done or you need this and that so they can get more labor and parts.
