Like parts of America, just older!

I knew that looked familiar.  It's an exact replica of the entrance to Disneyland, right?  ::)

I'm going to Europe in July.  I love it there.  One will rarely see structures like those on this side of the pond.

Thanks for sharing.

BTW, how is your knee doing?  Are you able to ride?

I must admit I've got a thing for old buildings, churches, castles.

If ya make it to the UK look me up .

Thanks for asking, the knee issues still on going. I can ride, but must be careful, must have my leg straight,.. not bent  be for I put any kind of weight on it.

That sure is some impressive stone work. Great photos, I could almost hear the sound of footsteps across the floor.

Co-worker and his wife travel to your side of the pond at least once every year to visit family. He said there are more historic and impressive places/building than you can possibly count - of course you have to remember the good 'ol US of A has only been around since 1776 and England has been around seemingly forever - I think the royals have stockings older than the USA.

Very nice photos. The 9th circuit court of appeals in SFO is pretty nice old place to see too.

Thanks for the pictures, really nice.

England and London were never on my list of things to go do or see.

Then in 2011, I had to take a one week class in London, and my company paid for my wife to accompany me.  We went three days early and stayed three extra days at the end.

Now I want to make it back so bad.  I was just fascinated with London, and the old Churches, and Buildings and architecture.

Nice pix, Peter!  :2vrolijk_21: I have not seen this particular building before.

I was fortunate to have spent a fair amount of time in England back in the mid-90s on business trips when I was with IBM. Got to spend a few weekends there, and saw a number of the cathedrals... Winchester (where we stayed at the Forte Crest hotel adjacent on the cathedral), as well as Salisbury, Westminster, and others. Amazing architecture, and they won't fall down or have to be rebuilt because they are made of solid stone... not just faux-stone facades like most buildings here.

You wanna talk OLD... I've been to Stonehenge, too. Now THAT is OLD! Falling down... but really, really old.
