I'm gonna have my map rechecked anyway.  I'm thinking that I still might need a little adjustment at that cruising speed or at app 2800-3200 rpm. Can't hurt to check it out.  :nixweiss:

I think your very close Stu. You say 80 miles left. Thats 2 Gallons @ 40MPG then you take 3 to 3.5 to fill up. its a 6 gallon Tank. Your off 1/2 Gallon. Also, the speed we ride, 80-85 has a lot to do with the less MPG, as does cam changes, our weight and windy days to name a few. Im sure when HArley did there estimated MPG's, it was on a stock bike with a 150 Pound guy, on a 50 degree day in windless Wisconsin.

You and I both know, neither one of our Bikes have ever seen 150 lb human being. your a big man.. Notice !!!! I did not say heavy or fat !!! Cause you are neither one, but you are 6'3 260-270 LB big dude. Put you 90Lb wife on there, tour pak and her Purse, lol and your almost 400LBs loaded.

Next time we ride, we will both fill up and see where we are at the next fill up. Leave your bike alone, please, Im trying to buy a boat and if you do something to yours that means I will to.

Very good  Brian.   That means we have to take a ride somewhere soon.  We better check soon before I start spending $$   or you won't ever get that boat.  ;)

I fairly often rode the "r" till "empty" - still minimum 30 m left. Stays on the safe side  ;)

I found out saturday that the tank on the SESGs are in fact 6 gallons total, and you cant get 250 or so miles out of one tank. This was proved to me thanks to Texas' habit of ending highway pavement sporadically, causing lots of back tracking, and eventually, me running out of gas. I did however, run 30 miles after my range hit "LOW"

and as Paul Harvey would say "and now the rest of the story". Thanks for clearing it up

I ran my "r" to low, not by my choice, and it took 5.6 gallons to fill. I don't remember how many total miles I got from that tank.

I regularly get 245 to 255miles on a tank and find it takes 5.4 gallons to fill up. I've never pushed it beyond that as I think I would be pressing my luck.

That's amazing.  Not even before I did some mods could I get that kind of fuel mileage.   That's amazing to me,,,  must be very lean for sure,,,   I hope you aren't frying your motor.  :nixweiss:

Does it not say SE Chic ? We all have 100lbs on her and probably ride the throttle a little more. We must consider Weight and riding conditions and habits when determining MPG.

One thing for sure,  when "Lo" shows up and you're in a strange place, it certainly makes you forget about the butt and shoulder pain along with talking to yourself and others....

Definitely a lot of variables in the equation.  I like the feature.

Happy riding to everyone, regarding the reserve reminder coming on. On my 09 SEUC with fulsac stage one kit, I have gotten to about 180 miles when it kicked into range mode when riding on the freeway. telling me I could go about 28 miles. I was on interstate 99 most of the way, but part was downhill from Coarsegold Ca. to Lebec, Ca.  It took over 5 gallons to fill, but even when the range indicator was down to about 18 miles I still could probably have pushed it another 30 (I think it was about 5.4 gallons to fill. This was with passenger and luggage. My last tank was mostly city(one up) with a couple of short jaunts on the freeway. This time the range indicator came on and said I could go 31 miles. I was about 2 miles from my offramp and when I got to the gas station it read about 27 miles so not too far off. However it only took 4.159 gallons to fill. I only fill it until it clicks off while on kickstand, and I believe I had gone between 165 and 170 when this occurred. so comparing city driving to mostly freeway it seems to be fairly accurate. I usually stop before 180 miles to stretch and get fuel anyways, but I wanted to share this info on the thread. CAHDBIKER
